nami. is a ramen bar in the heart of Utrecht, where everything is made with care, from broth to noodle.

We make our fresh noodles, in-house every day, aiming to offer the best ramen in town and beyond.

Located on Vredenburg, across from Tivoli Vredenburg and just steps from Hoog Catharijne and Utrecht Centraal.

“nami. なみ” means “wave.” At nami., we serve waves of comfort through simple, well-made Japanese dishes such as ramen, karaage, gyoza and set meals, prepared with attention and without excess. We focus on doing things properly.

To provide the best possible dining experience, we accept reservations for groups of 5 guests or more. For parties of fewer than 5 guests, we welcome you on a walk-in basis.

Yes, the location is wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, the restroom is not wheelchair accessible.

We offer a variety of vegetarian and vegan-friendly dishes. For our main dishes our Miso Vegan Ramen and Age Nasu Tofu set menu are fully vegan.

Alongside our ramen, we serve several vegetarian and vegan side dishes, including vegetarian gyoza, tsukemono (Japanese pickles), edamame, sweet potato korokke, and kakiage (vegetable tempura).

If you have any dietary requirements or questions, our team will be happy to assist you.

We offer a selection of gluten-free dishes across our menu. Our Teriyaki Chicken Set Menu and Gyudon Beef Set Menu can be prepared fully gluten-free, we can substitute the side with edamame. As for our other sides the following are also gluten-free: rice, usuyaki cheese, tsukemono (Japanese pickles) and edamame. For dessert, our Crème Brûlée and Black Sesame Panna Cotta (without the crumble) are also gluten-free.

If you have a gluten allergy or severe gluten intolerance, please inform your waiter when ordering. Our kitchen team will take extra care to prepare your meal separately.

While not all of our dishes are halal, we do offer a wide selection of halal options. Please find an overview below:

Ramen
Please note: the egg included in our ramen is not halal (due to the marinade). Feel free to ask our team for a substitute topping.

The following ramen are halal:

  • Miso Vegan
  • Spicy Tantan
  • Shio Yuzu Duck

Karaage
All karaage dishes are halal.

Sides
All side dishes are halal, except for the Usuyaki Cheese.

Teishoku (set meals)
All teishoku sets are halal, except for the Gyudon Beef.

Desserts
All desserts are halal.
